My personal opinion.... This is not a lake it's nothing more than a stagnant pool of run off from cow fields an crop fertilizers; that's collected for the purpose of poisoning the residents of Dickinson N.D , seeing as how this is where there tap water originates. Oh an did I mention this is why the whole town smells like human an farm animals feces.
I love it out here but the lake is so nasty you can't let your child or dog swim in it for the majority of the summer.
Our local lake for boating, jetsking and fishing. Picnic areas, beach, hiking paths, and camping also.
Too bad! Beautiful location overlooking Patterson Lake; wonderful day use area next to campground (paved hiking trail, disc golf, multiple play-scapes & exercise stations) BUT... busy rail tracks only 100 yards from campsites ( train about every 45 minutes) & then ATV area next to park (listen to roaring ATV all afternoon). Bathrooms pathetic! Appeared hadn't been cleaned thoroughly in a couple weeks (dirty walls, dirt in corners, hair in shower drains, cobwebs cover ceiling & light fixtures. As I said, too bad; someone (groups?) have put a lot of $ ' thought into this park but overlooked key elements; and now appearing neglected.
Camp grounds were clean with water and electric. Easy back in. Site was level. I would use again if in Dickerson ND.
