We have taken long trips all around the US, from Washington to California, Wisconsin to Florida, and a 5 week trip from Wisconsin to the West Coast and back. We went out of our way to eat at Perkins. We love the Perkins chain! We were so disappointed with this one! After taking our drink orders, we got a different waitress, took ten minutes for ice water. A soup was forgotten when the rest of the table's soups came out. She waited 15 minutes to bring it out. The soup was the best part of the meal! The steak and peppers dinner was ordered by two from the party of six. One was supposed to be rare. It only had one piece that had pink in the middle. The other one was tough to chew and had no seasoning. When our waitress was finally found by a co-worker, we started to explain our issues with the food. We were told promptly we shouldn't have ordered the food we did. We have had this dish many times before, but served with mashes potatoes. We had no offering of any more gravy, ranch or butter with our meal. We were just brushed off and abandoned again by our waitress. Refills? I did get rude and yelled across the restaurant for our waitresse for drink refills. Again our waitress was M.I.A.! Check was brought. Hey, can we have dessert? Yeah, even she was surprised! O.K. she then was upset she had to bring a new check. We then went to pay. I had a 15% off coupon for our whole order. It then took two computers and three staff to figure it out! Even though we paid for both steak dinners, we left both uneaten dinners. I gave it to the cook. I wouldn't feed it to our dog! The staff was rude and acted like it was inconvenient to be working. I almost forgot, when the waitress came to grab some of the dishes off our table she dropped some on my arm narrowly missing my 5 month old grandson.
The breakfast and bakery here are great. Expect most breakfast plates to run at $10+.
My girlfriend and I decided to do breakfast at Perkins today. The waitress got the drinks out quickly and took our order promptly. I ordered the pork chops which came with breakfast potatoes, eggs, and pancakes. The eggs where cold, the pork chop was tough and dried out. It tasted like it had been cooked a day or two before hand. Our "server" skinny girl with tattoos never came back to check on anything and never refilled our drinks. My girlfriends meal was edible at best so we shared it. We never received a check so we went to the cash register and told the ladie there about the experience and she said oh sorry. We paid for the full meal and needless to say we won't be going back.
Note to self...dont stop here again.
Food is good. The store is open late-night which is nice if you are craving a meal and it's past midnight.
Was obviously interrupting the servers afternoon. Served moldy grapes and when given back got scowled at. Tried to order dessert and waited so long had to do it at counter to go...same place we got out ticket.
